About DEPOTDEPOT is a bold new three-day contemporary art event in Oxford, created through a unique collaboration between artist-led commercial galleries, independent artists, specialist art fair platform ARTSVP, and the Oxford-based arts charity Fusion Arts.Launching in central Oxford from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 September 2025, DEPOT ‘25 aims to energise the local art scene and connect a discerning audience with outstanding contemporary art - all in a culturally vibrant city just an hour from London.Positioned as a hybrid between an exhibition and art fair, DEPOT offers collectors and art lovers a fresh opportunity to experience high-quality contemporary art beyond the capital, in a city renowned for its intellectual and cultural richness. The event will run annually in September, with its inaugural edition taking place in an exciting new venue in central Oxford.Address:

Preview evening:
Thursday 25 September 2025, 6 – 9 pmOpen days:
• Friday 26 September: 11 am – 9 pm
• Saturday 27 September: 11 am – 8 pm
• Sunday 28 September: 12 pm – 4 pmSet‑up and de‑install
Installation: The venue will be open for set‑up on Wednesday 24 September (10 am – 5 pm) and Thursday 25 September (10 am – 4 pm). All galleries must be fully installed and ready to open by 4 pm on Thursday.De‑installation: De‑install will take place on Sunday after 4 pm and must be completed by 9 pm. If you foresee any issues with these timings or need a recommended shipper, please contact us.Space allocation & layout
The main hall will be divided into nine allocated sections placed side by side. There will be no enclosed booths; instead, each gallery will have an open‑plan hanging area.We strongly encourage labelling each artwork with artist, title, medium, dimensions and price, or using a QR code linking to this information.The front of the venue will host three solo presentations curated by Fusion Arts, along with a welcoming bar area and seating.Wall & floor space
Each gallery will have approximately 9 linear metres of wall (height approx. 3.2 – 3.6 m), using a mix of existing concrete walls and temporary stud walls. Floor space can be used as needed.A detailed floor plan will be circulated soon.Payments
The £500 exhibitor contribution goes directly to Fusion Arts (our venue host) and supports their costs. Fusion Arts will send BACS payment details via your ArtSVP portal in advance of the event.Parking
Short‑term drop‑off parking is available at the venue. Long‑stay parking is available at Westfield Car Park.Storage
There is no storage for artworks at the venue. Please only bring works you intend to exhibit. A separate area will be provided for labelled packing materials and small non‑valuable items.Insurance and installation tech
Galleries are responsible for insuring their own artworks.We encourage exhibitors to handle their own installation; a limited number of technicians will be on site during set‑up days for essential assistance.Security
On‑site security will be in place from Wednesday through Sunday. The venue will not be secured on Monday, so all artworks must be removed by 9 pm on Sunday.Number of artists
We recommend showcasing one to three artists per gallery.Accommodation

Each gallery section will be equipped with up to two chairs. Please bring your own tools for installing artwork and any sales materials. Wi‑Fi is available on site.Event promotion & attendance
Invitations
Each exhibitor will receive an ARTSVP portal with 25 invitation slots for the preview evening. Each invite allows the recipient to book for themselves plus one guest.You can also share the public booking link for open days. The portal allows you to see who has accepted or booked and notifies you when your guests check in at the door.Portal access will be available from Monday 1 September. If the access email isn’t in your inbox, please check your spam or promotions folders.Private view and bar service
Guests are invited from 6 pm on Thursday and must book via ARTSVP; a guest list will be at the door.Complimentary drinks will be served at the preview. A paid bar (or sponsored drinks) will operate on Friday and Saturday.Capacity
The venue can accommodate approximately 300 people at any one time.Website & promotional assets
Galleries should list and sell their DEPOT artworks through their own websites. The DEPOT site will provide key visitor information and will list participating galleries and artists with links.For press and promotional use, please send 1–3 high‑resolution images per artist to [email protected], including captions (artist, title, dimensions, medium, date).A press release will go out on Wednesday 27 August. The website and the @depotoxford Instagram will go live the same day. Please schedule any announcements on your own channels from this date.We will provide DEPOT logos and social graphics for you to use in newsletters and on social media.Photography
Professional photography will be scheduled on Thursday at 4 pm to capture installation shots of each gallery section, as well as event photography during the preview evening. Galleries may arrange their own photographers if they require additional or detailed images.
